Areas of Expertise

Masters in Counselling Psychology

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I offer personalised and individual counselling to youth and adults looking to address both short term and more longer term difficulties. Using a therapeutic approach of validation and safety, we can look at some of the underlying concerns or external symptoms you may have. I utilise client centred, strengths based and relational perspectives combined with neuroscience and attachment interventions to offer support and gain collaborate insights. Whether you are looking for validation and reflection or direct focused insights, I offer safety and trust in my approach.I am awaiting status as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

Art Therapy

Art therapy is a gentle therapeutic modality which allows you to tap into levels of awareness beyond what you can think! The creative process is deeply personal and the use of art can facilitate healing insights and soulful resources. With relational neuroscience and somatic awareness deeply embedded in the therapeutic process, art can be utilised by everyone including and those who have no artistic backgrounds. I am a Registered Canadian Art Therapist which means I have completed more than 1000 hours of work with clients and had direct supervision to support this practice.

Somatic Psychotherapy

Noticing our body is an important and often forgotten aspect to therapy. As a culture, we largely ignore our body's subtle cues but if they are listened to with respect and skill, deep and profound healing of many wounds can occur. Within the context of a safe and secure therapeutic alliance, body based interventions are respectful and honouring of our deepest knowings. I am in the final process of becoming a Certified Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapist.
